 | While you are visiting Route 66 Harley-Davidson, make sure and visit our “Museum of the Road”. The “Museum of the Road” houses some great Route 66 artifacts and memorabilia that is sure to have you reminiscing the days when “The Mother Road” was the way to travel across the United States.

Vinita is the second oldest town in Oklahoma and is the oldest incorporated one on Oklahoma Route 66. Established in 1871 and originally named Downingville the name was later changed to Vinita in honor of Vinnie Ream, the sculptress who created the life-sized statue of Lincoln at the United States Capitol. In honor to “Oklahoma’s Favorite Son” Will Rogers and Highway 66 a special marker was erected in 1999 to remind folks that Route 66 was known as the Will Rogers Highway
